Locked and Secure

When a storm is headed toward your area it is important to make sure your home is locked down and secured for the impeding damage that comes yours way. 

Homes located more inland tend to have less damage unless they are located on the inter coastal or are in a flood zone. They are even worse off if they are in both, which happens more often than you would think. 

If you are located on the beach and have an inter coastal access as well it is of the utmost importance to have any many things as possible hurricane rates to protect your investment. 

A home is one of the largest purchases most people will make in their life. You need to protect it as such, especially when there are more uncontrollable risks living in different areas of Florida. 

If your home is hurricane rated all exterior accesses have some sort of locking mechanism that is either done automatically upon closing, such as windows, or that must be manually done such as garage doors.
